NeuBird Features · Agent Tasks

Scheduled work for your agents.

Agent Tasks is the table of work NeuBird's agents run on a schedule. Between incidents, agents audit what changed, look for waste and exposure, and check what is about to expire, then report what they found.

How Agent Tasks works

Why audit recent config changes?

Many production outages trace back to a recent configuration change made by a person: a timeout lowered, a security group opened, a replica count raised without the limits behind it. An agent that audits recent config changes on a schedule finds those changes before they cause an incident, or points straight at them when one starts, so the fix comes quickly.

What other tasks can agents run?

The schedule holds whatever routine checks keep production healthy, for example:

  • Cost optimization report: idle capacity and spend that can be reduced without losing performance.
  • Security vulnerability scan: known vulnerabilities in the images and dependencies you run.
  • Certificate expiry check: certificates close to expiring, before an expired one takes a service down.

What happens when a task finds something?

Each run records its result in the table, and a finding names what changed or what is at risk, where, and who changed it. A finding that needs action goes through the same approval policy as any other agent action, with human approval on every action.

How does this fit day-to-day operations?

Agent Tasks is how NeuBird operates between incidents. It turns the routine checks a team means to run, and often skips under pressure, into work that happens on time, every time. Related risks also surface in Risk Sentinel.

FAQ

Common questions

What are NeuBird Agent Tasks?

Agent Tasks are scheduled jobs that NeuBird agents run in your environment, such as auditing recent config changes, producing a cost optimization report, scanning for security vulnerabilities and checking certificate expiry.

Why should agents audit config changes?

Many production outages trace back to a recent human-made configuration change. Auditing changes on a schedule lets agents flag a risky change before it causes an incident, or identify it quickly when one starts.

Do agent tasks make changes on their own?

Agent tasks report findings. Any change to your environment follows your NeuBird autonomy policy, Suggest, Recommend or Act, with human approval on every action and an audit trail of each one.
